Alpine, California

Alpine  is only 30 miles  east of downtown San Diego with 26 square miles of land.  The Kumeyaay Indians, who discovered Alpine more than 1,000 years earlier, are still there to this day. Alpine has an elevation of 4000 feet, the climate is very ideal for people that have asthma. According to a recent survey done by the U.S. Government, Alpine has the one of the most ideal climates in the United States. If you were to ask a local what else is there in this small tourist spot besides their apple trees and the best apple pies in the world, the Alpine slogan "Best Climate in the U.S.A. by a Government Report" is the most common reply you would recieve.

The awesome look and feel of Alpine is a western style. Some of the homes in this gorgeous, quiet town are small ranch homes on sides of hills that are covered with shrubs. Other property is on open vacant lots zoned for horse properties. There are several commercial businesses to fit the need of residents and visitors alike. A huge attraction for locals and visitors to Alpine is the beautiful Viejas Casino. It offers a Las Vegas-like gambling and has shows with some of the biggest names in the entertainment world. For people who visit Viejas Casino and don't like gambling, there is plenty of shopping for brand name clothing, shoes and much more at the outlet stores located on the same grounds.
