Scripps Ranch is a community located in San Diego, California east of Interstate 15 and the Miramar Air Station. It is adjacent to Miramar Lake. This unique family oriented of residential real estate was incorporated in the 1970s and was originally founded by E.W. Scripps in the 1890s. Some of the areas of interest are Scripps, Miramar Reservoir and Scripps Lake.

The area attracts young families because of its excellent schools. Its school ranking is between 80th and 90th percentiles. Nearby Miramar College further enforces interest in education and values. It is lined with middle and upper-class homes and condos that surround the Miramar Lake and offers hiking trails.
